Privacy & Cookie Policy

1. Website controller and contact

The controller of data processed through this website is Sowa Marketing Sp. z o.o., os. Piastowskie 36, 61-151 Poznań, Poland, KRS 0000754399, NIP 7831786627. For privacy questions and requests, contact hello@sowamarketing.com.

2. Website, language and security

This WordPress website is hosted by dHosting and uses WPML to provide English and Polish versions. Hosting and security systems process technical request information, such as IP address, browser, requested URL and time, to deliver and protect the website. This serves our legitimate interest in operating a secure website (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).

Existing WPML language cookies, including wp-wpml_current_language where used, support your selected language. Our locally hosted Silktide manager stores your privacy preferences in localStorage keys beginning stcm.fyfm.. These are functional preferences, not analytics. The choice remains in this browser until you change it or clear browser storage. We do not operate a remote Silktide consent account or central consent database.

3. Optional Google Analytics

Only when you allow Analytics, Google Analytics 4 measures page views and clicks leading to the casting page. The legal basis is your consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR). Providing analytics consent is voluntary and is not required to use the site or contact the casting team.

The setup sends an allowlisted public page address, a fixed page title and event name. It does not send URL query strings or fragments, applicant names, email addresses, application materials or correspondence. Google also receives technical request information and browser/cookie identifiers. Google states that GA4 does not log or store individual IP addresses. A casting-page click indicates navigation, not a submitted application. “Follow the film” is an on-page link, not a newsletter subscription.

With consent, GA4 uses _ga and _ga_WE234Q6HM2 cookies, normally lasting up to two years; visits can refresh them and browsers may shorten their lifetime. The property’s event-data retention is two months and user-data retention is fourteen months, reset on new user activity. Aggregate reports may remain longer. Advertising consent stays denied. This setup does not enable Google signals, user-provided data, Google Ads, Meta Pixel or automatic form tracking.

4. Change or withdraw consent

Use the privacy icon or Privacy settings in the footer to change your choice at any time. Accept and Reject are equally available. Withdrawal stops analytics, removes this setup’s GA cookies and reloads the page to stop the previously loaded Google script. It does not automatically erase past reports. Browser language preferences continue to work. This setup does not automatically interpret Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signals; analytics remains off until explicitly accepted.

5. Casting correspondence

This website does not collect casting applications through a form. The published casting contact is casting@sowafilms.com. Clicking an email link does not send a message. Application correspondence is handled separately by the casting team; ask that team for the information relevant to its processing of application materials. Do not send sensitive information unnecessarily. Website analytics consent is not consent to use casting materials for advertising.

6. Providers, retention and international processing

Hosting and authorised technical support providers process website data as needed to operate and protect it. Google processes optional analytics data, accessible to authorised users of the project’s analytics account. Google may process information outside the EEA. Its applicable contractual safeguards and service information are described in Google’s partner-site explanation and Google’s data processing terms. We do not claim that all processing takes place exclusively in the EEA.

Technical records are retained for operational and security needs, including investigating problems or protecting legal rights, and are removed when no longer needed. Browser preference storage and analytics cookies have the separate lifetimes described above.

7. Your rights

Subject to applicable conditions, you may request access, correction, erasure, restriction or portability of your personal data, object to processing based on legitimate interests, and withdraw consent without affecting earlier lawful processing. Contact the controller using the address above. You may complain to the President of the Polish Personal Data Protection Office (UODO) or another competent supervisory authority. This website’s analytics does not make automated decisions with legal or similarly significant effects. We will update this policy when the website’s actual processing changes.
